Reality

A silent thought, an emotion explode,
a man humorless, a laughing woman,
a falling leaf, a radicle burrowed,
a wolf howling, an impassive oxen,

a changeable sky, a stone immobile,
a barnacle fast, a windswept balloon,
a civil nicety, a savage jungle,
a quantum dance, and galaxies bestrewn,

I am this and that and all that happens
between. I am here there and everywhere,
the source of eternal is, who beacons
life and death in eternity’s blank stare.

The Sufi’s elephant touched by the blind,
I am the is or the isn’t in mind.
